The House

I began photographing the family home the day of the unexpected death of my Father, almost two years ago. Since then I have continued photographing day by day its rooms, its objects, my family, as refuge from loss. Each time with more intimacy and attachment, looking for acceptance, reconciliation and a goodbye, expected before his time and mine.

Next to a traffic light I photograph the cars in motion. A strong focus illuminates them allowing me for a moment to see their interiors. The camera makes use of this moment to stop the anonymous flow and to look inside. The shadows happen to be partners, parents and children, lone persons.
Lives that randomly appear and suddenly are not alien to us.
