Camino-laguillo

Born in León, Spain, in 1971. Obtained her Law Degree at the University of Seville. She moved to New York City in 1995, where she worked as editor and translator for seven years. There she developed a growing interest in artistic fields such as drawing and video, studied at the Art Students League of New York and the School of Visual Art, and initiated in photography in a self-taught manner.

She has been studying photography in Seville since 2007, and has participated in workshops by Ricky Dávila, Alberto García-Alix, David Jiménez, José Manuel Navia, Alessandra Sanguineti and Anders Petersen.

In march 2010 participates in the group exhibition *El viaje perdido (The Lost Journey)* held within *Fotomanias 10 *photo festival in Málaga (Spain). In May 2010 holds her first solo exhibition, *Inward*, at El Fotomata Gallery in Sevilla, and in october 2010 *Inward* also exhibits at UFCA Gallery in Algeciras.

In December 2010 she participates in the group exhibition *España Contemporánea* curated by Alejandro Castellote at Centro de la Imagen in Mexico DF.

Awarded at the *Emergent-Lleida 2010* festival by the ValidFoto Gallery, where she will hold a solo exhibition in 2011, and by The Private Space Gallery, where she will participate in a collective exhibition and have her *Inward *book published by July 2011.
