Jesús Madriñán. Santiago de Compostela, 1984.

Graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona , and a degree in Photography from Central Saint Martins, Jesús Madriñán´s series suggest his own experiences, turning them into reflections that he needs to express. Halfway between documentary photography and narrative photography, Madriñán walks the line that separates documentary and fiction. A line that stretches and slackens, molds and reinvents, awarding to the original a
halo of affectation, presenting a theatralised world in which the
habitantes seem to be actors inhabiting a scene.

Among others, Jesús Madriñán, has won prizes in the International 
Photography Awards 2011, the eCREA award from the Festival Internacional Visual Arts EMERGENT 2011, the Laszlo Foundation Award 
from the Royal Society of Portrait Painters (UK), and the Promotion of Intervention Award from Creative Young people in the Zone C, Auditorium of Galicia. He is currently exhibiting his work in New York, in the exhibition " Best in Show " and in the Gothic Room of the Town hall of Lleida, as part of the programme of exhibitions of the EMERGENT Festival.
